I'm so excited to share my first projects for Sweet Stamp Shop!! Their September release has JUST been revealed and the sets are just amazing - so unique and cute, just like they always are!!

The two sets that I got to work with are "Supermom" and "Made By #2" and I absolutely loved creating with them!!

First, I had fun with the Supermom along with my much-loved watercolor set. Here's a little step-by-step on how I made the background for my card:

Here are some tips when recreating this process:
  • Before stamping, make sure you are using the smooth side of the watercolor paper to ensure a crisp image.
  • Make sure some of your images go over the edges of the paper so that it looks like it is cut out from a larger piece of paper and to prevent "tension" within the frame.
  • I put my most-used embossing powders in tupperware containers with a plastic spoon for an easy, no-mess application.
  • Pick colors that are easy to blend into each other. I chose analagous colors to create an ombre effect.
I stamped a sentiment from the Supermom set, as well as some triangular sunbursts. You could probably just cut out some skinny triangles from black cardstock for the sunburst shapes, but I like how stamping it makes it look just slightly imperfect. Here is the finished card:

The Made By #2 set is a must have for anyone who loves to create cards, gift tags, presents or really anything handmade! This cute little set has awesome sentiments to show people how special our creations are.

I decided to make something a little different this time - a little Mason jar gift with a cute little tag to go along with it.

This project was really so easy to make - I just pulled out a few strips of paper from my scrap basket, decorated with some Sweet Stamps (from the Wheely Like You set) as well as some punched butterflies and then stamped a cute sentiment onto a tag! I filled the jar up with some candies for now, but when I gift this away, I'll probably make some homemade cookies or some other goodies. Even though this gift jar was super easy, it will be greatly appreciated by anyone who gets it, because it is indeed so much better than receiving any old box of chocolates from the store!

Make sure to stop by the Sweet blog to check out more inspiration from the other designers - including some for the third stamp set, "Easily Distracted."

And if you like what you see with these stamp sets, make sure you grab them now! Until noon (PST) on Thursday, you can use the coupon code NRS25 at the Sweet Shop to get 25% off the new releases!! That's a pretty sweet deal! ;)

Also, in just a few days, I'll have my very first post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, so be sure to check it out! I'll be sure to remind you when it's up, but for now, here's a little sneak peek:
